Every Lumixy lamp is printed in PLA (polylactic acid), a bioplastic made from renewable plant sources such as corn starch. Unlike petroleum-based plastics, PLA is derived from crops and produced with a lower carbon footprint. It's rigid, dimensionally stable, and holds crisp detail beautifully — ideal for sculptural lighting.
Our lamps come in three core finishes. White reflects light cleanly for an airy, minimalist look. Brown brings earthy warmth for boho and wabi-sabi spaces. Translucent lets light pass through the walls of the shade, so the whole piece glows from within.
Each lamp is built around a standard E26 socket and works with any screw-in LED bulb. We recommend a warm-white bulb (around 2700K) to match the soft, cozy glow the designs are made for. Lamps plug into any standard US outlet.
Dust with a dry or barely damp soft cloth. Keep away from prolonged direct heat and avoid leaving the lamp in a hot car or sunny windowsill for long periods, as PLA softens at high temperatures. With normal indoor use, your lamp will stay beautiful for years.
